|
|
For the 2015 Ice Bowl (Ottawa's 14th!), Daredevil is providing each Ice Bowl 2015 player with TWO discs!
Your Tyrant and Big Brother have worked side by side the Daredevil design team to come up with a specially designed disc for the Ottawa winter disc golfer: A BLACK skinned, bottom-stamped POLAR BEAR.
As well as this uniquely Ottawa disc, you can also choose ANY disc from the Daredevil arsenal for your second disc! Any disc you want to try from Daredevil, we can get it for you.
Information about Daredevil discs can be found on the Daredevil website: http://www.daredevildiscs.com/
Distance Drivers (Speed "11"/13)
Sasquatch
Yeti
Bigfoot
Overstable Wind Drivers (Speed 9)
Sabertooth
Mammoth
Buffalo
Ogopogo
Fairway Control Drivers (Speed 9)
Wolverine
Timberwolf
Swift Fox
Approach/Mid-range Discs (Speed 4)
Grizzly
Moose
Caribou
Putters
Polar Bear
Beaver
Woodchuck
Ultie (Pie Plates)
Gamedisc
Frostie
Ultra Glow
U-12 140g
(Colours aren't guaranteed with Ultie discs, but there is high chance of getting what you want)
I have thrown ALL of these discs and have extensive knowledge on their tendencies, purposes, plastic types, weights and colour choices. If you have any questions, ask away. Others are probably thinking the same thing you are.
Some notes on Daredevil:
- Even though the same mold was used, Daredevil discs have different names for the different plastics. Something as simple as a colorant can change the feel of the plastic, the weight of the disc and therefore the flight. The different materials used to make each plastic that Daredevil uses also change the characteristic of the disc.
- That means these are VERY consistent discs. Discs made in the same run will almost have identical flights, be the same colour and have almost the same weights (differences of less than 1g).
Post here your preference.

Is there a hole in your bag? Do you need a disc for 100'-30' in, that's a dependable disc in the wind? Or a mid-range that'll fight the wind and always finish left?
If you are already in love with your mid-range and putters, the Mammoth or Sabertooth are solid discs with lots of utility.
Tell me what your hole is (or what's missing in your arsenal) and we'll see if Daredevil can fill it. |

I love my chiefs and buzzes so no mid or putter
Currently looking for either a max distance tailwind driver or a good stable to overstable control driver. I am really liking PD's for the control driver so that may be hard to beat. |

The Moose wouldn't replace your Buzzz, but would definitely compliment it. It's a better disc in the wind, and will always finish left. Won't go as far as a well thrown Buzzz.
I have a PD Freak (love it as a flick disc) and Daredevil has nothing like it at the moment. The Timberwolf and Wolverine are more understable control drivers, though a well thrown Wolverine will really, really travel. When I go out to the field to toss my bag, my 15th Anniversary ODGC Wolverine is always in the top 2 in distance. They are not so good with a head or a cross wind. |

Is the Mammoth slightly more overstable than the Ogo like their website suggests? What about the sabertooth? very overstable? One of those 2 look good. I remember voting for the mammoth on another part of the forum so maybe I should take one of those. |

I love the Mammoth. Love the plastic/feel. I used it on most of the holes we played the first IL at Mountain.
I'll ribbon up a Mammoth for you. (The Mammoth is white, but I've already ribboned mine for the day) |

No apologies. I am fully open to answering any of your questions. I want you to get a disc that will get used and not sit in a box of discards. |
