Some changes from the last time we've visited Mr. Massey.
Hole 5: They've cleared all the brush and bushes and trees around the green. Like Rico'd cleared. All gone. So we've framed the basket, on a picnic table, between two trees. The pad may move a tad to the left to make it picture perfect.
It'll have several routes to it, but the OB path comes into play now, only sitting about 40' from the target.
Hole 6: This has a whole new fairway. The trees on the old fairway have grown into the route even more, making the old route too much of a poke-and-hope.
The new route goes to the same green (that green is great) but goes at it a completely different way. I think there's a flick route and a RHBH hyzer route. I think it's easier to reach for most now. Better flow, too.
Hole 11: The green has moved slightly and the pad has moved to a new area. This is better par 3, but is riddled with mature trees. No complaints, though. You'll have mullies and a partner, so man (or woman) up!
Hole 12: Huge improvement. Now it's a great finishing hole. It remains a par 4, but now it's a wooded par 4. Much better than last year's version.

We're also going Picnic Table Wild! Everywhere we can put a target on top of a picnic table, we're doing it!
Hole 1 - None
Hole 2 already has one.
Hole 3 - None
Hole 4 - None
Hole 5 PTW
Hole 6 PTW
Hole 7 Maybe
Hole 8 PTW - That's right. Make the island and then putt to a PTW target! Blame Old Man.
Hole 9 - None
Hole 10 - None
Hole 11 - PTW
Hole 12 - PTW
So it's not that PTW, but enough. |
