On it. If that wind storm didn't blow it down last night, it's never coming down. _________________ There are no small putts.

Please pull cars all the way up the lane way to the end, beside the house, then park single file afterwards.
Don't park on grass.

Congrats Alex! Great job taking care of round two. Also congrats to Mario, played both rounds with him, great steady play all day long.
Thanks to Claus and Stacie for yet another excellent Mudslide.
Finally, the new player Dave S, what's his last name? (for record keeping...) |

Something fishy here...why does CCF change the order of finish?? |

Alex: Base handicap of 6.9972
Stacie: Base handicap of 20.7046
Over two rounds, without course correction, there's a 27.4148 stroke difference between Alex and Stacie, meaning Alex has to beat Stacie by 28 strokes raw to beat her adjusted score.
With course correction (1.07037 for Alcove)
Alex: 7.4896
Stacie: 22.1616
Over two rounds with course correction, the difference in handicaps is 29.3440 strokes, meaning Alex has to beat Stacie by 30 strokes raw to beat her adjusted score.
The closer your handicap is to zero, the less the course correction factor impacts it. Traditionally, the high handicappers have performed better adjusted at easy courses like the Shire and Kanata (CCF <1> 1). CCF <1> 1 gives high handicappers a better chance. I trust Darco's efforts (see the handicaps thread in the TOSS forum) in levelling the playing field course to course, the way handicaps are supposed to work. Think of it as though we now have individual handicaps at each of the courses. At Kanata, our handicaps are closer to each other, because we tend to shoot scores closer to each other. At Ettyville, our handicaps are further away, because the score range there is much greater. _________________ Go Sens! |
