Below is what I put up on facebook and emailed some friends.
We are starting a fun/night league on Tuesday nights. Tuesday is the only night we currently could run anything. This is not intended to compete with existing Tuesday golf. This is intended to get some local use of the course and hopefully an organic disc golf scene develop.
This may cater more to east end golfers or those who can't make TOSS on time.
It's the first week and we have BBP and the Daredevil show coming out (insert image of BBP into Hot Rod movie character) lol.
It's the first week and we'll see where this takes us. I would totally appreciate established players coming out to lend a hand and/or donate some discs for an inventory of loaner discs.
At this point I do not know what sort of numbers will be present but I expect a few for sure.

This Tuesday night is a demo night at my disc golf course for people who want to try playing the sport. We will have discs (golf clubs) that can be borrowed to try a round. I have had so many friends say they want to try it and now is your chance.
What to expect.
Show up for 6:30.
Have a demonstration on how to play.
We will play a short round of doubles (best disc).
I have coolers on the course with beer, pop, and water. Expect to pay for what you consume on a cost recovery basis.
At the end we usually fire up the bbq and have burgers on a cost recovery basis too.
There will be discs for sale if you want to buy any at super cheap prices. (I am not the one selling them).
Cost? Usually green fees are $5 for the night at the course. There will be no green fees this Tuesday night. Once you see if you want to try the sport again you will see more and more what goes on.
This is totally a great time to come out and see the place and try this. This is not going to be a big event and just right for a nice evening out with a bunch of first time throwers.
We will be playing every Tuesday night for fun for the summer. I just might not have demo discs to borrow on other nights.
Let me know and hope you guys come try it out.

I'd like to extend huge thanks out to Daredevil Discs and Geoff Penton. Especially for putting that Wolverine in Cameron's hands which he proceeded to school me with for the double round. Grrrr.
Last night we had 17 people out playing. I think 12 never played before.
Everyone reported a great time and a lot of enthusiasm to try it again. I really enjoy playing some doubles and relaxing.

Like Geoff said he thinks some might have gotten some hooked. We all can bring a friend along but the best part is when that friend keeps coming back on their own.
Either way we're open for fun golf on Tuesday nights. |

Fun leaguers will not be playing with the ODGC players so no pressure to still come out and have a "fun time".

Course will be open this Tuesday night.
The course is coming into it's best shape ever. Cam and I have been slowly bringing it together. Thanks to Kaufman who helped with some clean up on a fun round we had.
We've been cutting fairways with my lawn mover now. That's a first. |
