It seems we have 2.5 hours for lunch break Saturday. I may think about going for a swim down a Meach lake or grab some lunch on a patio in town. What will other people be doing for 2.5 Hours? Sunday we have 1.75 Hours Lunch break as we will play from the longs Sunday morning. I'd be down for cards, settlers or anything that doesn't involve moving from my chair. |

I was there a couple of weeks ago and they have done a massive expansion project. Its quite nice. There is one super hot sauna they say not to spend more than 15 minutes in. It was very hot. 80C or something silly like that _________________ meh |

They just won some award for something to do with a view from somewhere. I'm sure they were proud. |

Lunch justification:
The 11:30 start is about when I expect only the fastest cards to come in. 11:30 means a two hour round. A card of 2 can play a relatively quick round in 1:45. I expect cards to continue to dribble in from 11:30 until about 12:30, which will give the last card an hour to eat and recover. Same for Sunday.
This is the same schedule I used last year, which seemed to work out pretty well, except when I moved the start time for round 4 up, and some players missed that announcement. That won't happen this year. _________________ Go Sens! |

So lets get something going on over lunch. Beach party could be fun. Cards, Settlers, Risk? Anyone have any cool games that can be played from a lawn chair? It would best if money and luck could be involved. |

Settlers for money? I'm assuming you can provide said Settlers board. If so I'm in. _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

Digging these Quebeckers out of their holes and getting them to come to an Ontario event (yes Rolly and Thumber, Occupied Ontario!!! =)) is like digging clams with a McDo's straw...tough and messy...
But factor in the spectacle of Saint Jean and a three-day drinking binge and I doubt you will see anyone from east of Deux Montagnes.
I submit to you that before the Capital Classic was moved in time from July to this date--what, three years ago?--there was a much greater presence of Montréal golfers. Just my opinion, but given the optics--the Capital region, officially bilingual, and the course in Quebec--the choice in date is perhaps less than francofollically sensitive. Mind you, with the QDGT in full force and steaming like a fresh plate of poutine, it would take a miracle to move these quebecois any further west than the 540 split.
Comment les motiver? Je n'ai aucune idée... |
