Not actually from DG, but I recall winters from around 1991 thru 94, there were Ice Ulty games played on the outdoor rink at Jack Purcell on Elgin St.
Instead of end zones, goals were skipped off the ice into a hockey net over short board put on the ice between the posts.
We used a Wham-o 119 g DDC disc, and in deep cold, hard shots off the post would sometimes shatter spectacularly.
To avoid debates, the rule was that the entire disc (not necessarily in one piece) had to be in the net for the goal to count. |

Default looks to be an "Ascent", their first driver.
It reminded me of a leopard but made of rubber. |
