|
|
Here is a golf question for you.
Consider this: You were playing in the club match play championship tournament finals and the match was halved at the end of 17 holes.
You had the honor and threw your drive a modest 380 feet to the middle of the fairway, leaving a simple upshot to the basket.
Your opponent then throws his drive, and shanks it deep into the woods and way off to the right.
You help your opponent look for his disc.
Just before the permitted three minute search period ends, your opponent says: "Go ahead and make your second shot and if I don't find it in time, I'll concede the match."
"Okay," you say, "that sounds fair."
You throw your disc, and land it near the basket. It comes rolling to a stop about 20' away. About the time your disc comes to rest, you hear your opponent exclaim from deep in the woods, "I found it!"
The next sound you hear is the slightest of rustling in the leaves, and then you see the disc come sailing out of the woods and land next to the basket, stopping no more than four feet from the hole.
Now here is the question:
Do you pull the cheating bastard’s disc out of your bag and confront him with it,
or do you keep your mouth shut? _________________ Privacy is a means to democracy, not an end in itself. - unknown

Why's his disc in your bag? Who's cheating? |

why is the opponents disc in your bag? In the scenario the disc was never declared lost, and both agreed on the you shoot, and if i find it.
Should have held himt to the rules, and make him call it lost. |

The joke is that the 'you' in this scenario found the lost disc and bagged it so your opponent wouldn't find it.
So do you call him on cheating when he throws from a random spot in the bush...
Hence the lulz _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

Under my shoes I suppose.
I got the part about picking the opponents disc up, I just thought there was something else I missed. |

But the real answer here is to 'find' the disc on the way to the basket and call him then _________________ "Friends don't let friends putt like Ken Little."

Yeah sure, call him on cheating. But you better being taking a penalty for something. _________________ If you can't win the event in regulation, try, try, try again. |
